Comprehensive Plan Consultant

The consultant shall lead the planning effort to develop a 2050 Comprehensive Plan. The consultant is expected to present the final plan to the Regional Planning Commission and the McHenry County Board for approval and adoption. The consultant shall commence work on the plan during the second quarter of 2022 and deliver the final plan before the end of the first quarter of 2023 unless an amended project timeline is agreeable to all parties. The consultant shall conduct weekly check-in calls with the Project Manager. It is anticipated that the project will result in the following list of deliverables, although additional deliverables may be identified and agreed upon during the contract negotiation process. Maps and associated data shall be in ArcGIS and PDF format and shall be provided to the County. ArcGIS layers compatible with the County interactive GIS map of Current Land Uses, Future Land Uses, and Municipal Future Land Uses based on individual municipal plans. All text and report files shall be in editable MS Word or PDF formats. Reports including, but not limited to subareas plans and an existing conditions survey based on 2020 Census demographic data including projections. All final reports shall be presented in digital format for archiving and reproduction. Thirty-five (35) bound color copies of the final 2050 Comprehensive Plan.
