Sierra Treatment System

This Contract provides for water system improvements within the Valley Water Districts Sierra Site. The completed work will provide the Owner with a new treatment skid (installed on-site inside the existing building); new piping systems, including underground and above-grade piping to connect to the existing system, new structural modifications, electrical, controls, and telemetry upgrades; site restoration, and other items to improve the Valley Water Districts Sierra System domestic potable water system. The Contractor shall provide and install all water system improvements as shown in the Drawings and described in the Specifications. Bidders should note that following contract execution, contract time may be suspended for the procurement of major mechanical and electrical equipment items to accommodate anticipated long lead times. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit by a cashiers or certified check, or Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish satisfactory Performance Bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid deposit or bond shall be forfeited to the Valley Water District. The Contractor shall complete all work within 85 working days. All bid proposals shall be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and all other contract documents.
