Renovations to Girls Batting Facility West Brunswick High School

1. Obtain all required permits and pay all fees associated with this project. 2. Install construction fencing around project. 3. Remove existing fencing and post. Fencing to be saved to re install. Posts are to be 4. discarded. 5. Remove attached padding along field side of block wall. Padding to be saved to re install. 6. Demo existing block walls around batting structure. 7. Remove any debris from existing concrete pad. 8. Install #5 rebar vertically into existing concrete slab 2 feet on center, 4 inches from edge of 9. concrete slab. Epoxy to be placed around rebar to secure in concrete. 10. Install a forty four inch (44") tall wall around existing structure (50'x60'). Wall to be built using 8x16 CMU. Joints to be tooled. 11. Blocks cells where vertical #5 rebar passes through will be filled with concrete. 12. First run of CMU will have #5 rebar horizontally around the building and be tied in to the vertical rebar. 13. The first run of CMU is to be filled with concrete. 14. The final course of block will have #5 rebar run horizontally and tied to the vertical rebar. 15. Top of wall to be capped with 4 x 16 solid concrete block. 16. 2 1/2" Galvanized fence post are to be inserted into block wall at the spacing necessary to carry wind load of 150 mph. Post are to extend to the concrete slab. The block with posts inserted are to be filled with concrete. Top of posts are to be secured to existing steel structure. 17. Metal fencing to be re installed around structure. 18. Existing entry gate is to remain. 19. Existing gutters are to be removed and re installed upon completion of job. 20. Wind screen is to be attached to metal fencing around exterior of structure. 21. Block wall to be painted. Color chosen by owner. 22. Vinyl padding to be re installed along block wall facing softball field. 23. Surrounding grounds to be cleaned and will be left in same condition as before project start. 24. Job site to be cleaned and left safe at the end of every workday. 25. Contractor responsible for removal and disposal of all construction debris. 26. Portable toilet supplied by contractor. 27. The contractor or employees of the contractor shall not engage the students in conversation or physical activities.
