3-19-0039-019-2022-AIP (Design) & 3-19-0039-020-2023-AIP (Construction) The City of Grinnell reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or technicalities in any bid, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be to the best interest of the City of Grinnell. Work on the improvement shall commence upon approval of the contract by the City Council and as stated in the Notice to Proceed. All work on Phase 1 shall be completed in 25 working days. All work on Phase 2 shall be completed in 20 working days. All work on Phase 3 shall be completed in 15 working days. Work on Phase 1 must be completed prior to starting work on Phase 2. Work on Phase 2 must be completed prior to starting work on Phase 3. Liquidated damages as set forth in Section 00500 - Contract. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon. The bidder ssecurity shall be in an amountequal to 5% percent of the total amount of the bid. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. Division 34 -	Transportation, Airfield Signaling and Control Equipment.
