Lake Carlos Dam Rock Arch Rapids

A. The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: General, Mechanical, and Electrical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1. Construction of a rock arch rapids structure through the existing dam structure consisting of baserock and weirstone as indicated on construction plans. 2. Demolition of existing sheet pile wingwalls to an elevation as noted on construction plans. 3. Construction of containment embankments longitudinally along the stream for the rock arch rapids structure. 4. Water control strategy for construction. 5. Clearing and grubbing. 6. Vegetation establishment along east embankment and near bank area for sediment and erosion control and stability. 7. Preserve Lake Carlos runout elevation as indicated on construction plans. 8. Restore parking lot and access road to existing condition or better as indicated in contract.

Division 02 -	Existing Conditions, Subsurface Investigation.
Division 31 -	Earthwork, Site Clearing, Grading, Excavation and Fill, Subgrade Preparation, Excavation, Shoring, Tunneling and Mining, Tunnel Excavation.
Division 35 -	Waterway and Marine Construction, Dam Construction and Equipment.
