Construction Management and Construction Inspection Services For Public Works

The City of Aurora is requesting written proposals from consulting firms to provide Construction Management / Construction Inspections (CM/CI) Services for Capital Improvement Projects and Street Operations. In addition, engineering services may be requested to provide analysis for pavement management system. Firms shall provide the preferred candidate(s) on a daily basis for the full duration of the contract time. The preferred candidate(s) from the successful consulting firm may be co-located at the City’s offices. 2. SCOPE OF SERVICES All work will be under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. Project tasks and work elements may include, but are not limited to: • Participation in preparation of cost estimates, specifications and bid evaluations • Monitor construction progress and expenditures. • Control field and change orders • Meet and coordinate with other departments, consultants, government agencies and utility companies; • Investigate complaints and recommends corrective action • Collect and analyze data; • Provide Asphalt, Concrete and Soils Materials Testing on request. • Provide Pavement Management Services to include Pavement Structural Analysis utilizing FWD/GPR, subsurface investigations and appropriate laboratory testing to make comprehensive pavement design analysis to provide maintenance and pavement reconstruction recommendations. • Prepare and present a variety of reports • May serve as project engineer on construction phase of City projects • Additional duties as assigned.
