Description | Perform the following repairs to Solid Waste Transfer Station: Replace the failed concrete Drive-Thru Lane portion of the building floor, remove/repair/replace damaged and/or missing steel & concrete at the Push Wall of Tipping Floor, modify existing exit ramp of Wash Rack to eliminate all conflicts by CNG fuel tanks located in the undercarriage of City of Tallahassee trash trucks; work will also include providing a temporary doorway opening in the side of building, constructing a temporary access drive to interconnect with the temporary opening, maintenance of traffic on facility grounds and inside of Transfer Station building during construction as a phased operation (including all of the required labor for flagmen & spotters), possible unsuitable soil replacement beneath floor slab, possible additional steel & concrete repairs since development of plans & specs and the possible additional partial reconstruction of portions of Wash Rack due to concealed conditions in underlying structure. Contractor will be required to perform heavy demo, removal & disposal of materials, along with torching, grinding & welding in the occupied building with combustible materials present, placing concrete forming and materials, they will also be tasked with reconstructing a portion of the leachate collection system “floor drains” cast into floors that are a crucial component of this industrial trash handling operation. Upon completing construction, the temporary access door shall be closed, the temporary drive removed and all disturbed areas of the building & grounds restored to a “like or better” condition. |
