Description

BAGGAGE HANDLING SYSTEM MERGE RELOCATION PROJECT Major work items include and are not limited to: Reconfigure baggage handling system including new portions to be installed and existing portions to be relocated, modify the existing Motor Control Panel, reprogram the Programmable Logic Controller to accommodate the new conveyor functionality, remove a portion of the wall between the Merge Room and the TSA Room and install a new roll-down fire door for the relocated baggage handling system, and change existing single door to a double door for conveyor removal and installation. This work is to be bid as follows: Pursuant to certain specifications prepared by the South Jersey Transpor-tation Authority, Department of Engineering. To subscribe, follow the directions on the website. The fee schedule is available, and all fees are payable to Bid Express. Any emailed, mailed or physical bids delivered to the Authority will not be accepted and/or will be returned to the bidder unopened. Specifications and Bid Documents are through Bid Express. A Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the TOTAL BID PRICE but not to exceed $20,000.00, is required to accompany all bid submissions. The Authority, in accordance with law, reserves the right to reject any or all bids either in whole or in part and also to waive any minor informality in any bid or bids so received. In order to bid this project, the bidder shall be pre-qualified under one (1) of the following NJDPMC Trade Codes, or any one of the respective sub codes, at the time of submission: NJDPMC Trade Code C008 - General Construction NJDPMC Trade Code C009 General Construction / Alterations & Additions In addition to the bidder prequalification, any subcontractor performing work on the project shall be pre-qualified, as applicable, under the following NJDPMC Trade Code(s) at the time of submission: NJDPMC Trade Code C032 - HVACR* NJDPMC Trade Code C047 - Electrical* *To be declared on Subcontractor Declaration Section on Bid Express. The Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
