Description | Hope Center for Children (HCFC) is seeking proposals from paving contractors to provide asphalt milling and paving services for its main campus location, to include all paved areas as well as a concrete dumpster pad and options for reinforced surfaces to withstand the weight of garbage trucks in specified areas and parking area striping. The paving project will cover all paved areas (approximately 8,800 square yards) of the main campus including all parking lots and driveways and include milling the existing asphalt to the concrete curbing, regrading the area to be paved and installing two inches of compacted asphalt. A concrete pad will be installed that can support an eight-yard garbage container. A reinforced surface will be required in front of the new concrete pad to withstand the weight of a garbage truck. Additionally, a driveway that is accessed by a gated area will require a reinforced surface for frequent garbage truck use. All parking areas will be striped and designated handicapped parking and visitor parking spaces will be identified appropriately (two handicapped accessible spaces and three visitor parking spaces). Questions concerning the RFP must be directed to Michael Brown via email at Michael@hopecfc.org, and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2022. All questions will be aggregated into a single document and answers will be sent to each contractor that attends a pre-bid meeting. The project for Hope Center for Children will be funded by a Community Development Block Grant (HUD) and therefore required to follow federal guidelines, including, but not limited to, the Davis Bacon Act. The selected contractor must register with SAM.GOV and obtain a DUNS number if not already obtained. |
