Description | BOROUGH OF HAWTHORNE PASSAIC COUNTY, NEW JERSEY The work to be performed under this contract includes the following: Base Bid (NJDOT Funded) Milling and resurfacing of Utter Avenue from Lafayette Avenue to Route 208. Also included are ADA curb ramps, ancillary drainage improvements, and the installation of traffic stripes, markings, and other incidentals on Utter Avenue and 5th Avenue. Base Bid (Resident Assessment) The spot sidewalk and driveway apron replacement of properties along Utter Avenue and 5th Avenue. Alternate Bid Milling and resurfacing of 5th Avenue from Central Avenue to 325' North. Also included are ancillary drainage improvements, and the installation of traffic stripes, markings, and other incidentals. Principal items of work in the project include: Base Bid - (NJDOT Funded Ordinance No. 2290-22) . 9,500 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less . 1,395 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 12.5M64 Surface Course . 1,878 L.F. 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb Base Bid - (Resident Assessment Ordinance No. 2289-22) . 766 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick . 560 S.Y. Concrete Driveway, 6" Thick . 170 S.Y. Concrete Driveway, Reinforced, 8" Thick Alternate Bid . 1,165 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less . 170 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 12.5M64 Surface Course The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 90 calendar days of notice to proceed. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the IMPROVEMENTS TO UTTER AVENUE & 5TH AVENUE. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder. |
