County Route 8 (Lowman Crossover) Bridge Over Chemung River

This project will replace the entire superstructure along the current alignment. The existing concrete deck and supporting adjacent prestressed concrete box beams and pedestals will be replaced with a reinforced concrete deck on continuous steel girders, and new bearings and pedestals.The approach slabs will be removed and replaced, and the piers will receive isolated concrete repairs as needed. The abutments will be replaced with integral abutments utilizing the existing piles.
