Description | The City of Refuge is accepting sealed bids from qualified firms for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project 2023-4 - HVAC Replacement. A qualified firm is required to have an E-verify number, a DUNS #, and be registered on website for verification of work status in the state of Georgia. Bidders are required to bid the scope of work presented by CORD. The bid package will include the scope of work for the proposed project repairs. Bid packages may be requested via email August 7, 2023. All work will need to be done in accordance to the specifications included in the bid package for the construction and completion of the work required. Any questions regarding the bid package should be directed to Pamela Cudd at pamelacudd@cityofrefugedalton.org. All bidders must comply with the general requirements, special and federal provisions of the bid information and instructions enclosed therein. It is important for interested bidders to review all bid documents carefully. The proposed installations are being funded with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. CDBG funds are made available to the city of Dalton through a partnership with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Consistent with our Federal programs, CDBG requires compliance with various Federal laws, regulations, and guidelines throughout the invitation to bid; procurement process, project installation, and project close out. Important laws and regulations the successful Contractor must comply with include the following: --Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Executive order 11246 --24 CFR Part 85.36 Conflict of Interest Provisions --24 CFR Part 85(e) Minority, Women-Owned, Small Business Enterprise --29 CFR Parts 1,3,5,6, & 7 Davis-Bacon Act --40 U.S.C. 327-333 Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act --24 CFR Part 1325 Section 3 Links to the above regulations are available online on the CDBG page. The City of Refuge Dalton reserves the right to reject any and all submissions if they fail to demonstrate the skills and capacity necessary to complete the project if bid, and to waive information and minor irregularities in submissions received, and to accept and submissions if deemed in the best interest of the City of Refuge Dalton to do so. |
