2023 Citywide Paving Project

The work generally consists of the milling and overlay of multiple streets throughout the City of Laurel. The project includes approximately 5,500 tons of asphalt and 63,000 square yards of milling. The City of Laurel reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein. Mississippi Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Current Edition" as referred to herein, may be purchased from the Mississippi Department of Transportation. Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent of his bid, payable to the city of Laurel, Mississippi, as bid security. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement, if requested, by the city of Laurel, Mississippi. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of 100 percent Each Bidder must submit with his proposal a separate attachment stating his qualifications to perform thework. The Statement of Qualifications shall list past projects of similar size and nature, a list of references with name and telephone number, a list of key personnel who will perform the work, and other information supporting the bidder's qualifications. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.Engineer's Estimate: $3M- $3.5M.
