2022 4th Avenue Bridge 27884 and I-35W Bridge 27878 Trail Improvements

The work of this project includes removal and disposal of existing asphalt trail pavement near each abutment expansion joint of Bridge 27878, Hiawatha Bike Trail over I-35W, removal of pavement approaching and between LRT track crossings located between bridges 27884 and 27878, removal of grading base material and installation of Geotextile fabric and galvanized steel plate attached to bridge substructure, replacement and compaction of aggregate base materials, repaving the trail with asphalt to match existing pavement sections where bituminous pavement was removed, clean and repairing cracks in bituminous trail pavement on bridges.
