| Description | The Baileys Trail System - Doanville project will mitigate four abandoned mine features and build a trail head in York Township that will serve the Baileys Trail System on the adjacent Wayne National Forest. This project will occur at two different sites. Each site will be accessed from West Bailey Road, south east of Nelsonville. The sites are as follows: Doanville Trailhead (1 Vertical Opening, 1 Subsidence) This site consists of mitigating two dangerous mine openings, building a gravel parking lot, wooden shelter house, and installing a primitive restroom. The dangerous mine openings will be sealed. Doanville Stream Captures ( 2 Mine Portals) This site consists of mitigating two open mine portals that are capturing the adjacent stream flow. The two mine portals will be sealed and the stream will be reconstructed below the portals. |
