Description

The Owner, 237 Hamilton I, LLC, solicits proposals from STATE OF CONNECTICUT LICENSED CONTRACTORS; to provide select demolition and remove and properly dispose of identified contaminated soils beneath the building, while providing for the necessary dewatering and design-build structural supports to allow the excavation (and backfill) to proceed; additionally, a sub-slab depressurization system will be installed. All work performed under contract between the Owner and the CONTRACTOR is required to be permitted and the CONTRACTOR shall arrange any and ALL required inspections. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for scheduling and documenting all inspections. Building permit fees, if any, are the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR. SCOPE OF WORK All work to be performed for the Environmental Site Mitigation at 237 Hamilton Street is contained in the Project Manual & Specifications, dated November 30, 2022. BID AND SUBMITTAL CONDITIONS: THE BIDS SHALL INCLUDE:1. Bidders will submit two sets of their sealed bid on the BID FORM.2. A statement of key staff availability and their experiences and backgrounds.3. A list of any and all proposed subcontractors to be utilized on the project.4. A demonstration of "good faith" CHRO compliance requirements and set-aside plan(s) for the project.5. The successful bidder shall provide using AIA documentation forms a Performance and Payment bond within ten days of notification of project award. The contractor who is selected to perform this State project must comply with CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a60, 4a-60a, 4a-60g, and 46a-68b through 46a-68f, inclusive, as amended by June 2015 Special Session Public Act 15-5.State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g. (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.)
