Description | 2022-6 Roadway Improvement Project Lexington Avenue, Liedl Avenue, Middlebrook Road, Washington Avenue, Washington Road, Vosseller Avenue (Hillcrest Road to Cedarcrest Road), and Woodland Terrace (Washington Road to Middlebrook Road) Project Description: Provide Construction Services Which Will Consist of Improvements to the Entire Lengths of the Following Roads Lexington Avenue, Liedl Avenue, Middlebrook Road, Washington Avenue, and Washington Road, as Well as Vosseller Avenue (Hillcrest Road to Cedarcrest Road) and Woodland Terrace (Washington Road to Middlebrook Road). Project Length for the Base Bid Is Approximately 9,300 Linear Feet and the Project Length for the Alternate Bid Is Approximately 3,400 Linear Feet. All Disturbed Areas Will Be Restored to Their Original Condition. The Bids for This Project Have Been Broken Out Into a Base and Alternate Bid. The Base Bid Includes All Improvements to the Entire Lengths of Middlebrook Road, Washington Avenue, Washington Road, and Woodland Terrace, Whereas the Alternate Bid Includes the Improvements to Lexington Avenue, Liedl Avenue, and Vosseller Avenue. Bridgewater Township Will Evaluate the Successful Bid and Determine Whether to Award the Construction Services for Both the Base and Alternate Bid or for the Base Bid Alone. The Contractor for This Contract Shall Complete the Work, and All Other Items Called for in the Specifications and as Shown on the Plans Within Seventy-five (75) Calendar Days. Biddershallsubmitwiththebidacertificated Check, Cashier's Checkor Bid Bond in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Price Bid, but Not in Excess of $20,000, Payable Unconditionally to the Township. When Submitting a Bid Bond, It Shall Contain Power of Attorney for Full Amount of Bid Bond From a Surety Company Authorized to Do Business in the State of New Jersey and Acceptable to the Township. The Check or Bond of the Unsuccessful Bidder(S) Shai1 Be Returned Pursuant to N.j.s.a. 40a:11-24a. The Check or Bond of the Bidder to Whom the Contract Is Awarded Shall Be Retained Until a Contract Is Executed and the Required Performance Bond or Other Security Is Submitted. The Check or Bond of the Successful Bidder Shall Be Forfeited Ifthe Bidder Fails to Enterintoacontract Pursuantto. Performance Bond: the Successful Bidder Shall Be Prepared to Deliver to the Owner a Performance Bond for the Project to Guarantee the Completion of the Work for a Period of Time Not Less Than Two (2) Years Beyond After the Date When Final Payment Is Due. Said Performance Bond Is to Be in an Amount of at Least 100% of the Initial Contract Amount. Payment Bond: the Successful Bidder Shall Be Prepared to Deliver to the Owner a Payment Bond for the Project to Guarantee the Payment of the Contractor's Obligations for Wages and Materials Supplied to the Project Location for a Period Not Less Than Two (2) Year Beyond After the Date When Final Payment Is Due. Said Payment Bond Is to Be in an Amount of at Least 100% of the Initial Contract Amount. Maintenance Bond: the Successful Bidder Shall Be Prepared to Deliver to the Owner a Maintenance Bond for the Project to Guarantee the Replacement of Defective Work or Materials for a Period of Two (2) Year After the Acceptance of the Work by the Owner.
