Description

The BARREN COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION will receive sealed bids for each Bid Package listed for the BARREN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL ADDITION AND RENOVATION. THE FORM OF PROPOSAL AND PROPOSAL ENVELOPE MUST BE REQUESTED FROM THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (Alliance Corporation, 116 E. College Street, Glasgow, KY 42141 Phone 270.651.8848, Fax 270.651.2915, email Judy Reeves at jreeves@alliancecorporation.com). All bids shall be submitted only on the Form of Proposal and in the Envelope prepared and sent to you by the Construction Manager. The Proposal Envelope will have the Project and respective Bid Package(s) number affixed. Plans and specifications may be examined at the following locations: - Office of the Owner: Barren County Board of Education, 600 Trojan Way, Glasgow, KY 42141 - Office of the Architect: RBS Design Group, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301 - Office of the Construction Manager, Alliance Corporation, 116 E. College Street, Glasgow, KY 42141. Alliance Corporation is the Construction Manager for this project, acting as agent for the Owner and acting in the Owner's behalf in soliciting your proposal. Each successful Bidder shall execute a Contract directly with the Owner and not with the Construction Manager. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, cash or bidders bond, executed by the Bidder and Surety The project consists of several components. This is not an all-inclusive list. There are additions and renovations for: Art Museum Slaughter House Kitchen Cafeteria FMD and Courtyard - Alternate Bid #1 Other on Sitework: New Baseball Press Box CTE, New Parking Lot Canopy, High School to Innovation Zone. Concrete and Grandstand (visitors) - Alternate #4 Tennis Court Resurfacing - Alternate #5 Renovation Includes: New Elevator Repurposing of areas in the Gym Secure Vestibule Exit Work with Canopy There is an Alternate #3 for HVAC, Roofing and Ceilings at the College Street Campus Building Gym Bleachers, Gym Chairs and Auditorium Seating is by the Owner. Company, IN THE SUM OF NOT LESS THAN FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE AMOUNT OF THE BASE PROPOSAL The bid security is required as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted a Contract will be immediately entered into and the performance of it properly secured. Proposal Forms must be properly filled out. No qualifying letters or statements will be considered. No bidder may withdraw a Bid submitted for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of Bids. In the event the Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fails to execute a satisfactory Contract and Bond, he shall be eliminated and shall forfeit his certified check, cash or his Bid bond and shall be liable for the loss occasioned by the owner by such failure. Any Bid which is not received on a timely basis or in the proper form shall be returned unopened.
