The new station will have two apparatus bays and support areas with administrative offices and living quarters for the 24 hour, 365 day operation of the station. It is anticipated that the fire station will be a net-zero energy building; one that will produce as much, or more, power as it consumes during its daily operation. The construction will include an Integrated Concrete Form wall system with glulam wood beams and cross laminated timber construction supporting the roof and rooftop mounted solar panels. The work is estimated to cost $6,000,000.
