Description

The Thompson School District is seeking proposals from interested firms with significant and demonstrated experience in the planning design and integration of the Boardroom Audio System and Control Room Upgrades. The successful firm will partner with the district in coordination with the City of Loveland a quality system wide solution. Question Acceptance Deadline 08/11/2022 04:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No The goal of this project is to update the Boardroom audio system, streamline the A/V workflow of the room for multi-purpose use and update the presentation system to allow for remote call-ins for absentee board members. This update will allow the Thompson School District to provide high definition content and programming to residents via the School District's Cable Channel and via live streaming. The District currently has a broadcasting system in place. Some of the components of the current system are beyond their useful life. The needs of the board have evolved in recent years and an upgrade is necessary to meet those needs. Therefore, the District is planning to upgrade this broadcasting system to meet the current and future needs of the District. The District seeks a Provider who can demonstrate organizational, functional, and technical capabilities, as well as the experience, expertise, and qualifications necessary to implement and support the latest technology in audio/visual broadcasting systems typically in use within a public boardroom. The boardroom is one of the largest meeting spaces in the district and is frequently used to host larger meetings for training purposes. The end of the room opposite the board is used for these A/V presentations. There are two, wireless handheld microphones installed exclusively for those presentations. The District needs a clear, user-friendly interface to mute/unmute microphones, switch speaker presents and switch video inputs for the presentation monitors. The broadcast control room has the rack, power, and some cabling necessary to support digital transmission, but there may need to be some changes to accommodate the new equipment which may be sized differently than the existing equipment. Most of the electrical and low voltage data cabling should already be in place to support the new equipment, but there may be some additional runs of cabling into the ancillary areas where the meetings will be broadcast.
