Description	This project consists of field inspection services for the subject resurfacing contracts. This also involves performing road condition ratings for one-third of all county road segments (approx. 2,200 segments per year), rating of concrete and flatwork roadway appurtenances (curb & gutter, sidewalks, aprons, and curb ramps), as well as providing construction inspection on special projects related to road resurfacing, permanent patch, road reconstruction projects and ADA Ramps. These special projects may require interaction with other Public Works Bureaus, as well as other County Departments. It is essential that the firm have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of road construction, hot mix asphalt resurfacing, pavement preventative maintenance, and guidelines pertaining to ADA specifications, as well as pavement management techniques and road rating systems.
