DEMA Office Remodel T5516 (JIC) Single

Work will be to remodel the current 4,200 square foot JIC building #T5516 to accommodate the ADEM Recovery section staff. This office has been in continuous use as a call center and ASA training classroom. The JIC is currently being used by DEMA and FEMA for COVID-19 PA activities and this scope of work is only for some minor remodel and adding modular furniture. This office is made up of 4 modular office trailers connected to each other, (Approximately 70 ftx 60 ft = 4,200 square feet). This project site is located at the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs Offices, at 5636 E. McDowell Road, Phoenix, Arizona, 85008. Demolition: 1. Remove 40 ft x 8 ft high curtain wall in kitchen area and along west center wall. 2. Remove 3 foot of kitchen cabinet unit at south end of counter. (Cut and cap countertop). Construction: 1. Construct new wall in Office A, spilt of the existing call-center office, (20 ft x 8 ft high). 2. Construct new walls in Office B against the south exterior wall, (12 ft x 11 ft x 8 ft high). 3. Construct new walls in Office C against the south exterior wall, (12 ft x 11 ft x 8 ft high)(One wall will be common to both offices). 4. Install two 36-inch standard office doors for each Office B and Office C. 5. Construct new wall in Kitchen, (18 ft + 12 ft x 8 ft high). 6. Add new electrical outlets in new walls as necessary, (approximately 10+ total). 7. Removal and replacement of carpeting (approx. 4,200 sq ft). 8. Replace and install new stairs and ramp on southeast side of building. 9. Replace and install new stairs on southwest side of building. 10. Check OSHA standard for handrail height on both platforms. They measure 36”high with a mid-rail at 18”. They need to be 42-inch top rail and 21 inches for mid-rail to meet OSHA specs.
