Description

As of March 30, 2023, an architect has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: LEIN Check (Department of Corrections ONLY) All contractor / vendor representatives attending Preproposal Walk Through Meeting must submit a Vendor / Contractor LEIN Request form five business days prior to the meeting date (See the attached Vendor/Contractor LEIN Request Form). Send the LEIN Request form, filled and signed, by email to Daniel T. Smith at email address: smithD76@michigan.gov . The email "Subject" must include (facility name, project name, date and time of Pre-Proposal Walk Through Meeting) PROJECT DESCRIPTION/SERVICES REQUESTED The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Parks and Recreation Division (PRD) desires to retain a professional services consultant (PSC), who will provide professional design (architectural, engineering and construction administration services) for existing condition assessments and design for the Port Crescent State Park - Campground and Day Use Areas. The campground improvement work will include a new sanitary sewer, an upgraded electrical system, a new water service, and pavement rehabilitation for roadways. Inclusive with this work are any site improvements (grading / drainage) needed to address any of the associated utility / road improvements. The Port Crescent State Park Day Use area work includes Beach House renovation and road / parking lot pavement rehabilitation. The Beach House renovations include a new sanitary sewer, an upgraded electrical system and a new water service. Inclusive with this work are any site improvements needed to address any of the associated utility / road improvements. The alterations will include barrier free design requirements of Public Acts 1 of 1966, as amended, The current Michigan Rehabilitation Code for Existing Buildings, and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act. The PSC shall be responsible for verifying and gathering accurate base information, preparation of all necessary construction documents, approval of these documents by the required governing agencies, and final as-built record drawings. There shall be the standard 50 percent and 90 percent reviews for the Phase 300 and 500 services, with additional meetings dedicated to idea generation and conceptual design development with the DNR project team.
