AUSTIN PUBLIC LIBRARY ADDITION & REMODEL Major components of work include: Project Room Addition 1,725 SF - Project space with cabinetry and two sinks - One staff office - Storage room with fridge and dryer Service Desk Remodel 716 SF - Desk remodel with fixed and movable casework - Drop-down ceiling grid and bulkhead remodel - Backdrop accent wall with built in shelving and cased opening Study Rooms Remodel 511 SF - Two small study rooms, one large study room Public Restrooms Remodel 307 SF - Replacement of all fixtures and finishes Unisex Restroom Remodel 42 SF - Replacement of all fixtures and finishes Staff Restroom Remodel 24 SF - Replacement of all fixtures and finishes Ceiling & Lighting Upgrade 1,408 SF - Adding bulkheads and drop-down ceiling grid - New lighting fixtures Book Drop Off Canopy Addition 291 SF - New metal canopy over existing exterior book drop area Storage Closet Remodel 46 SF - Adding storage closet to existing back room Staff Entry Awning Addition 66 SF - New metal awning over existing staff entry Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A Contractor responding to these Bidding Documents must submit to the City/Owner a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. Bids may be held by the City Council of Austin for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to award of the contract. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept or reject any alternatives, waive any informalities, or to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
