Sanitary Sewer, Street and Drainage Improvements

The Project consists of replacing two manhole sections of existing sewer, repaving three short streets, lowering and extending an existing 24" RCP storm drain and regrading and lining approximately 700 feet of drainage ditch. The work under this contract consists of various infrastructure improvements in and adjacent to North Avenue in North Blakely. Improvements fall under three categories: 1. Street Improvements: Three short streets between North Avenue and Church Street to the west are to be regraded, paved and lined with new rollover curb. 2. Drainage Improvements: An existing 700 foot drainage ditch that starts between North Avenue and Church Street, crosses North Avenue and terminates at North Main Street will be regraded, widened and lined with tied concrete block mats. An existing 24-inch RCP storm drain under North Avenue will be relocated and lowered and another existing 24” storm drain under North Main Street will be clean of accumulated sediments. 3. Sanitary Sewer Improvements: Two manhole sections of existing 8-inch sanitary sewer and all the 4-inch service laterals on North Avenue from the main up to within 5 feet of the houses are to be replaced.
