Big Bridge Underwater Diving Safety Inspections

Location: Services will be performed at various locations throughout the State of Michigan. The bridges for this project may include large deck, movable, and region owned structures inspected by MDOT. See the attached “Diver Inspection Work Package List” for additional information. In accordance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS), each bridge with submerged substructure elements that cannot be inspected by wading or boat and probe methods must be inspected by a qualified diver at a frequency of 60 months or less. The work defined in this scope includes performing an underwater diving inspection of bridge substructure elements and preparing reports that detail the inspection findings.
