Description | **As of October 03, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work necessary and incidental to the completion of the project known as "SMaRT Station Tip Floor Resurfacing". The area at the SMaRT Station where incoming refuse trucks empty to start the refuse transfer and recycling process is called the tip floor. The existing floor consists of rebar-reinforced concrete which is covered by a layer of iron-reinforced epoxy concrete that provides additional strength. The combination of a continuous flow of heavy trucks and loading equipment, and the corrosive liquid that drains from the garbage has worn the tipping floor surface. This requires periodic resurfacing of damaged sections. Project includes resurfacing the tip floor shown in Exhibit A - Map with a Cementitious Natural Aggregate Topping. Questions should be directed to David Battaglia, Senior Buyer, at dbattaglia@sunnyvale.ca.gov |
