Asbestos removal will encompass the entire abatement of the window frame systems, Door Systems containing asbestos window caulk / asbestos window glazing compounds, Transite window/door panels and removed as a system, interior Drywall wall / ceiling systems, asbestos containing floor tile /floor tile mastics, Vinyl Sheet Floor Mastic, Interior Transite roof shingles, Transite HVAC Ducting, Incinerator Gasket, Vermiculite Exterior wall insulation within negative pressure HEPA filtered enclosure systems as identified in the asbestos abatement specifications. Additional fire rated door and door frames will also require removal within small mini-enclosure systems or within the large containment areas Asbestos Abatement Work will consist of complete removal of the asbestos materials within the building to allow demolition and recyclability of all materials to be performed. Removal of all window systems and associated wall systems, supporting materials within HEPA Filtered negative pressure full enclosure systems for the entire individual work areas (classrooms, offices, hallways, etc.). Various Components requiring removal may contain trace levels of asbestos in mortar of the stage auditorium and contractors must provide proper PPE for all workers handling and disturbing materials for the first 3 days to establish a negative exposure assessment by TEK Environmental.
