Description | The CITY OF NEW ALBANY may choose to not award the bid--and bidders shall hold bids open-- until sixty days after the bid opening. The work for which bids are invited consists of: Intersection improvements including traffic signals, bike lanes, leisure paths, ramp widening, turn lanes, storm sewers, lanscaping, and islands for 2,000 feet on US 62 and 3,300 feet on side roads and ramps.. The cost estimate for the Project is $7,200,000. Alternate No. 1 Construction cost estimate is $125,000.00. Alternate No. 2 Construction cost estimate is $83,000.00. Optional prebid meeting set for 9:30 A.M. on May 24, 2022 at the Service Department Disadvantaged Business (DBE) Requirement. DBE participation goals (Subcontracts, materials, supplies) have been set on this project for those certified as DBE's in accordance with the TEA - 21 (1998) and 49 CFR, Part 26, and qualified to bid with ODOT under Chapter 5525 of the Ohio Revised Code (O.R.C.). This project has a 9% DBE goal. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner requires that this project be completed by December 1, 2023 . Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this Project. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin The CITY OF NEW ALBANY reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process and to enter into a contract with the bidder whom, in its opinion, offers the lowest and best bid. |
