Description

Architectural and engineering services relating to the site preparation, predesign, design and construction of this new building. The A&E firm(s) will also coordinate a post construction building commissioning exercise to span approximately twelve (12) months commencing on substantial completion of the construction. Carlton County is constructing a new two-story jail building to LEED standards in downtown Carlton, Minnesota, which will house 80-84 inmates. County General Obligation Bond proceeds will be used to finance the project. Programming and space planning analysis have determined the building to be an estimated 55,200 square feet. The County will be constructing the new building on an existing parking lot (county owned) and will remodel the existing Law Enforcement Center.
