Mall Landscaping Maintenance

1. The “Downtown Mall” is generally described as that area between the north and south right-of-ways extending from the US Hwy 27 and Main Street intersection, east to the intersection of S. Delaney Ave. and Main Street, including the eastern most grass covered island. Additional areas to be maintained are described below. 2. Mowing will be from sidewalk to sidewalk, including the medium and areas abutting the sidewalks. Additionally, trees and palms will be trimmed/pruned per instructions from the City’s Project Manager. Line trimming and edging will also be included. Any areas not reached by rotary mowers shall be line trimmed at each site visit. 3. Metal edgers shall be used to edge curbs, not weed-eaters. 4. Contractor shall provide and apply sufficient weed and grass killer to prohibit weeds and grass from growing under and along the established and defined planters, flower bed areas, and sidewalks. Any existing weeds are to be removed.
