Description | A. The scope of requirements includes, but is not limited to, the provisioning, configuration and support of Wide Area Network Service from each of the Rochester City School Districts (RCSD or District) schools and administrative sites to two central locations. B. The services that the District will procure will not be limited to the items described in this RFP nor will be limited to the technical descriptions noted for each item. Rather, the information provided in this RFP is included to: • Ensure that the respondent can supply – as a minimum – the full range of services described herein • Ensure that the services, as provisioned to the District, can meet the stated technical requirements • To provide a common point of reference to conduct a fair cost comparison between respondents on specific services. C. Deliveries of products and services will not occur before July 1st 2020, coincident with e-rate funds disbursement. Since exact needs may change over the life of the contract, the District reserves the right to incrementally increase or decrease the scope of work prior to delivery or installation. D. The District wishes to establish an agreement with one or more suppliers for each a variety of goods, services or systems defined herein. E. Contracts will be negotiated for a term of one (1) year with four (4) one year options for renewal for a total contract term of up to five (5) years. F. Currently, the District Wide Area Network Consists of 50 locations connected via 6 Fiber rings to the Administrative center and to School 50 at 10,000mbps. Each Ring includes both data centers for sharing services between 131 West Broad Street and School 50. G. Vendors need to supply customer premise equipment (CPE) to terminate all WAN circuits. RCSD has Cisco switches that vendors can utilize to terminate connections. Equipment should be Cisco 10GB Modules (SFP+ or QSFP), media converters, CSU/DSU’s or any other equipment necessary to terminate service from vendor to the District’s Core Switches. Space is available in District equipment for all necessary vendor provided network interfaces |
