Additions, Alterations and Renovations at Northern Burlington County Regional High School - Phase 2

Contract No. 1 – General Construction Work (C009) (est. $10,750,000) Contract No. 2 – Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Work (C029) (est $925,000) Contract No. 3 – HVACR Work (C032) (est $4,230,000) Contract No. 4 – Plumbing Work (C030) (est 1,620,000) Contract No. 5 – Electrical Work (C047) (est 2,825,000) Contract No. 6 – Combined Single Overall Contract comprising Contracts 1 though 5 Estimated Project Cost: General Construction $10,750,000; Structural Steel $925,000; Plumbing $1,620,000; HVACR $4,230,000; Electric $2,825,000 The work consists of additions, alterations and renovations to the East and West buildings, as well as Site Work including an extension of an entry driveway, small parking lot expansion with curbing, new site lighting, new concrete plaza/sidewalks/ramp, landscaping, sump pump, storm sewer system, manholes, site signage, bollards, fencing, retaining walls, concrete steps & handrails, flagpole, utility services and other related work indicated on the contract documents. Additions to the East and West buildings of the school with the primary purpose of connecting the two buildings, consist of the following spaces: The main connector addition will consist of a new Main Lobby, Cafeteria Expansion, Passageway, Kitchen, Kiosks, School Store & Office, (2) Business Classrooms, Office, Janitor’s Closet, Library/Media Center, SGI, Maker Space, Toilet Rooms, IDF Room, Work Room, Receiving/Bldg. Storage, Freezer, Faculty Dining, Nurse’s Suite, Faculty Planning Room, Main Office Area/Administrative Offices, Conference Room, Vestibules and Corridors. This addition will also include and small second floor mezzanine with a new Conference Room, Archive Storage, and Electrical Rooms. There is also an alternate bid to add another Business Classroom to this addition. A second small addition on the East building will include Agriculture Mechanical Welding and Engineering Shops, Agriculture Tool & Storage Room, Compressor Room, Wood Storage, Finish Room and a vestibule. Alterations and Renovations include creation of a new Industrial Design/Engineering Classroom, Fabrication Room, Student Project Storage Room, Robotics/Engineering Classroom, Fine Arts 3D Classroom, Kiln Room, Art Storage, Fine Arts 2D Classroom, Agriculture Classrooms, Applied Tech. Wood Shop, Wood Storage, Spec. Ed Classroom, English General Classrooms, Business Classroom, G&T Classroom, Dept. Work Room, MDF room, new Corridors, Offices, Storage, Science Labs and associated Prep Room. There will also be additional alterations to the existing building at the connection points of the new additions.
