Description | 1. The complete demolition, removal, and legal disposal of the existing Lochinvar CopperFin2 CPN752 heater boiler. Demolition shall include all piping, valves, conduit, boiler supports, electrical wiring and devices, and associated hangers and mounts in the area of the boiler to the height of the ceiling. Ducting and/or vent piping shall be demolished to the interior of exterior wall penetration. Additionally, the contractor shall remove approximately 100’ of 2” Schedule 80 CPVC piping to the main distribution lines. Included in pipe demolition is all associated hangers, valves, unions, and sensors. All work is to be completed “wet” and removal of piping will need to be coordinated with temporary plugs, bladders, or methods to contain water while piping is removed and new valving is installed. Any substantial loss of water from the pool system must be refilled at contractor expense. The Town reserves the right to request to and retain any parts from the demolition, to be separated at the Town’s expense and labor. 2. Installation of a new Lochinvar CopperFin2 CPN752 including all transportation, rigging or other installation service required to install the unit, elevated mounting hardware to a minimum of current height, piping, electrical, conduit, venting, and valving. Approximately 100’ of 2” Schedule 80 CPVC removed during demolition shall be replaced including: all piping and hangers. Hayward 2” true-union CPVC ball valves shall be installed within 5’of the main line and within 5’ of the boiler. Valving shall be installed to be easily accessible and provide for full function of the valve handle without modification. Boiler installation shall include manufacturers provided/approved startup and commissioning of the boiler and training of Town staff (up to four hours, as required). All hardware, mounting accessories and methods, and piping shall be designed for wet corrosive environments. Vent piping and pipe hangers shall be of 304 stainless (preferred), aluminum or other anticorrosive material to be approved by the Town. No dissimilar metals shall be in contact with one another without isolation. Installation shall be in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal codes, and in accordance with all manufacturer’s specifications. Permits and inspections (and any associated fees) shall be the responsibility of the contractor. |
