Description

As of August 10, 2022, no bids were received. No definite date for the rebid. Contract 22-2 WWTP MCC Improvements Work includes visiting the site to confirm existing conditions and field verify all circuits and interconnections; demolishing select control buckets from the existing motor control center (MCC) serving the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP); providing and installing new control buckets into the existing MCC; make final connections; and perform operational demonstration; together with necessary appertaining work. Per the requirements of the Article 21-11-11 of the Code of the State of West Virginia, any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project will be required to certify, indicate, and acknowledge that he/she has a Contractor's license from the State of West Virginia and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State of West Virginia and the subdivision in which the Work is to be performed. Per the requirements of the Article 21-1D-5 of the Code of the State of West Virginia, any Contractor submitting a bid for a public improvement construction contract shall provide an affidavit of compliance that the Contractor has a written drug-free workplace policy. Failure to complete and submit the Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit Form shall result in disqualification of the Bid. A cashiers check payable to New Martinsville Water & Sanitary Sewer Board or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid, shall be submitted with each Bid, to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a Contract, if given the award. Attention is called to the Instructions to Bidders, which are included in the Contract Documents. Successful Bidders shall be required to comply with all laws pertaining to discrimination of persons. The New Martinsville Water & Sanitary Sewer Board reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and is not necessarily bound to accept the lowest Bid, if that Bid is contrary to the best interest of the Board. The Board reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bidding.
