Project Name: Residential Sound Insulation Program O Hare Phase 18B Specification Number: 1215241 CDA Project Number: OH8057.16-18 AIP Grant Number: 3-17-0022-168-2018 Estimated Project Cost: $7,700,000.00 - $8,500,000.00 DBE Goal: 21% For this Project, a bid deposit is required in the amount of 2% of the Contract Base Bid in the form of a bond, or the equivalent in cashiers check, money order or certified check. PERFORMANCE BOND: 100% of Contract value *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Work consists of furnishing all means, methods, labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and services for performing the Sound Insulation work as shown on the Construction Modifications and as described in the Technical Specifications, including all appurtenant work and accessories, to the complete satisfaction of, approval and acceptance by the City. This includes, but is not limited to, alterations and modifications of approximately one hundred sixty six (166) dwelling units in the area surrounding Chicago O'Hare International Airport ("Homes"), consisting of singlefamily and multi-family residences in various communities. Homes are single-family or multi-family structures including apartments and condominiums; and vary in construction type, external materials and style. The residential construction documents for the work on the Homes will be provided to the Contractor(s) with the Notice-To-Proceed for the Contract. Additional scope information is included in Part One, Section 6 ("Project Description and Special Procedures"). A general location map of Homes is included in Part One, Section 7 ("General Location of Homes"). This description of work is intended to be general in nature and is neither a complete description nor a limitation on the Work to be performed. Contractor must perform all Work described in the Contract Documents or reasonably inferable as necessary to produce the results specified therein, except to the extent specifically indicated in the Contract Documents to be the responsibility of others.
