Description | Estimated cost: $450,000-$700,000 The project generally consists of the following work: Base Bid Schedule A work consists of replacing approximately 659-feet of 8-inch diameter water main, water service connections, new fire hydrant, surface restoration and related work. Additional Work includes removing and replacing the pump in the Town well, electrical and control system upgrades to the Town well and installing a backup generator and automatic transfer switch. Additive Alternate 1 Bid Schedule B includes replacing an additional 205 feet of 8-inch diameter water main, water service connection, surface restoration and related work. Additive Alternate 2 Bid Schedule C includes replacing an additional 430 feet of 8-inch diameter water main, water service connection, bulk water fill station, surface restoration and related work. Contract Time: Up to one hundred and sixty (160) calendar days will be allowed for equipment procurement. The Contractor will be allowed thirty-six (36) working days for construction of the base bid work to achieve substantial completion. Six (6) additional working days will be granted for Additive Alternate #1. Nine (9) additional working days will be granted for Additive Alternate #2. These timelines may be allowed to run concurrently to allow replacement of the well pump as soon as possible and by request of the Contractor. This project is funded through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant program with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Award of the construction contract is contingent upon approval by the funding agency. All work performed will be subject to the higher of State or Federal (Davis-Bacon) Prevailing Wage Rates. The Town of Lamont shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding documents or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular.
