Mayfield and Food Lion Elevated Tanks TTHM Removal System

The principal work to be performed under this contract consists of, but not limited to improvement of the following: Furnishing and installing reservoir hydrodynamic mixing system for both the Mayfield 300,000-gallon and Food Lion 500,000-gallon elevated potable water storage tanks. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on the lump sum basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither the Town nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions for Bidders. A performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Evidence of proper registration with the Virginia State Registration Board of Contractors, pursuant to Chapter 7 of Title 54 of the Code of Virginia, must be submitted with each bid. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to negotiate with the low bidder, and/or to re-advertise the project for bids. The Owner is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
