Solon Parkside Elementary and Middle School HVAC Improvements Phase V

Scope A. This project involves work in an existing operating facility and will require close communication with Owner with regard to access and work hours. Coordinate all work schedules with Owner prior to bidding. When project includes a ConstructionManager, all work schedules shall also be coordinated with the Construction Manager, prior to bidding. B. All Drawings as well as the Specifications for all Divisions shall be defined as the Contract Documents. Contractor shall review entire set of Contract Documents prior to bidding. C. Drawings and Specifications are to be considered as supplementing each other. Work specified but not shown, or shown but not specified, shall be performed or furnishedas though mentioned in both the Specifications and the Drawings. D. Prior to submitting bid, Contractor shall examine all Drawings and Specifications todevelop a complete understanding of the project scope. Contractor shall ask for clarifications during the pre-bid phase of the project. Failure to do so will not relievethe Contractor of their responsibility to perform all required work Notice Text . Bids must be in accordance with the contract documents, which consist of all advertisements and notices, the instructions to bidders, specifications and drawings, the bid form, form of contract agreement, form of bid and performance bond, and addenda thereto. Bids must contain the name of every person interested therein. They should be sealed in an envelope and addressed to Mr. Mike Acomb, Director of Business & Personnel, Solon Board of Education, 33800 Inwood Dr, Solon, Ohio 44139. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Surety Bond, drawn on a solvent bank or bonding company satisfactory to the Treasurer, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, DO NOT include Sales Tax. This project is exempt from State of Ohio Sales Tax. Exemption forms will be issued by Solon City Schools upon request. Solon City School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all parts of any bids, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to select the lowest, most responsible, most responsive bid which is in the best interest of Solon City School District. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The attention of the bidders is called to the statutory requirements of the State of Ohio relating to the licensing of corporations organized under the laws of any other State and the Equal Opportunity Employment Regulations.
