Water Main Construction

BIDDER agrees to furnish all the necessary materials, labor, equipment and tools necessary to install approximately 390' of 6" C900 water main, 4-6" main valves, 1 new fire hydrant, 2 water services to existing curb stop locations with new curb stops 1" pep 250 PSI poly pipe with compression fittings and FS313 style tapping saddles. All to be installed along the 800 block of North Street West in Clear Lake. It is the intent to install a complete system or job in designated area; and the contractor shall furnish everything necessary to do this whether it may be specifically called for in the specifications or on the plans for the lump sum Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or cashiers check for five (5%) percent of the amount of bid, such check to be certified or issued by either a state or a national bank, and payable to the City of Clear Lake, or in lieu thereof, a bid bond for ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid, such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota, payable to the City of Clear Lake, as a guaranty that such bidder will enter into a contract with said City in case such bidder be awarded the contract. Project shall be completed by September 15th, 2023. Contractor shall pay the sum of $1,000 per day for each day that the project is not completed beyond the completion date as provided herein. CHECKS NOT CERTIFIED WILL DISQUALIFY THE BID The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or to accept a bid other than the lowest in case it seems advisable to said City Council to do so. No bidders may withdraw their bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of opening thereof. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to materials, products and supplies found or produced within the State of South Dakota. The City of Clear Lake, South Dakota, does not discriminate against the handicapped in employment or admission or access to its activities and programs or the provision of services.
