Description | As of May 8, 2023, project was awarded to Mi T Fence, awarded amount is $30,078.18. Contractor shall demo and site clear existing fence and then install new fencing in the same location. All new fencing shall meet the following specifications: Fence posts shall be 4" x 4" AC2(R) #2 Ground Contact Green Pressure-Treated Timber or equivalent. All postsshall be set atleast 4 feet deep within the ground for stability and protection from frost. All fence postsshall be strait and shall be placed in the ground in a level manner using compacted gravel as the fill material in the holes around the posts. Post shall be placed in same locations as existing fence posts with a maximum distance of 8' between posts. All fence boards shall be a minimum of 5/8" thick by 5 1/2 to 6" wide rough sawn #2 western red cedar. All new boards shall match the height of the existing fence boards and have a dog ear pattern on the top ofthe boards.Note; do not match the existing fence pattern at the top of the fence at 500 W 5 th street but rather use the dog ear pattern. All fence boardsshall be spaced tighttogether with no greaterthan a 1/8" gap between boards. All rails shall be 2" x 4" Western Red Cedar and shall match the design of the existing fence rails by using 3 rails on allsections of 6'tall fencing and 2 rails on all 3' tall sections of fencing. All fasteners shall be galvanized or plated to prevent corrosion meeting industry standards for this type of fence installation. Contractor shall use either screws or twist nails of the appropriate length in order to prevent boards and rails from pulling loose. Contractor shall be responsible for underground locates and permits if needed. Contractorshall be responsible for any permitsthat are required forthis project and all work shall meet all local codes. Provide a one year labor and materials warranty for all new fencing. |
