Description

The wastewater treatment plant work consists of providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and plant to construct Harvest Green Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion to 0.6 MGD site work including but not limited to construction of headworks modifications; influent and effluent piping; underground piping; on-site force main; buried RAS and WAS piping, other buried piping and valves; extension of crushed concrete access drive; crushed concrete IWTP pad; concrete sidewalks; equipment concrete pads; chain link fencing; site grading; drainage channel modifications to outfall; sanitary sewer manholes, modifications to the existing elevated headworks structure; modifications to the existing wastewater treatment plant; and all other miscellaneous items shown and not explicitly specified in the lease agreement. The electrical scope of the site work shall include the new diesel generator, modification of service rack, power distribution rack and all duct banks, conduit and wire up to the proposed local control panels including all aboveground conduits and wire to pads. The local control panels and all downstream duct banks, conduit and wiring will be provided and installed by the lease vendor. The lease of the 200,000 gallon per day package wastewater treatment plant shall include delivery and assembly of the plant with all accessories and equipment; the aeration basins; first and second stage digester units; a final clarifier; a chlorine contact basin; chlorination equipment; eyewash and safety shower; walkways, bridges, and handrails; air diffusion equipment; plant lighting; two blowers; control panels for equipment including the blowers, lighting, and all other electrical plant devices; interconnecting piping, valves and electrical wiring (including wiring to the service rack); and all accessories, equipment, piping, etc. within the plant, complete as specified. Within the plant is all the plant related functions from the influent flange at the aeration basin to the first fitting downstream of the chlorination basin. The lease plant installation shall be the responsibility of the lease plant vendor. Installation includes all delivery, install and start-up. The site work contractor shall coordinate with the lease plant vendor for all connections and slab dimensions. The site work contractor is responsible for all site work shown in the construction drawings including all work not associated with the plant between the influent flange at the aeration basin and the effluent flange at the chlorine contact basin. However, the site work contractor is responsible for concrete slabs and pads, the headworks structure modifications and all buried piping located within the limits of the proposed plant. All buried piping shall be installed with a flanged stub-up approximately 18-inches (18”) above finished grade at all locations or connected to the buried clarifier hopper for piping coming from the clarifier. The site work contractor shall perform all electrical work including the modification of the service rack, the connection from the modified service rack to power distribution rack, from Automatic Transfer Switch to new diesel generator, including all aboveground conduit and wire to pads. The plant lease contractor is responsible for all electrical work downstream of the local control panels. The site work contractor is responsible for all underground ductbank work and all other electrical work from the main service rack to the local control panels. The site work contractor is responsible for coordination with plant lessor firm to coordinate pipe and electrical connections, buried pipe locations, deliveries and schedules.
