RFP Engineering - Linden Connector Trail Design

The City of Gladstone is requesting qualifications and proposals from professional engineering firms to assist in the design of the Linden Connector Trail from N. Oak Trafficway at NE 69th Street to Missouri Route 1 at NE 68th Street as shown in the attached figure. The City of Gladstone is located north of the Missouri River and encompassed by Kansas City, Missouri (KCMO). The City has a population of approximately 27,000 people spread over 9 square miles. The Linden Connector Trail will provide an important east-west trail connection and will include a combination of on-street facilities, and shared-use concrete trails. The project was awarded $475,000 in Transportation Alternative Funds. The City has $50,000 budgeted for design in FY23 and $700,000 budgeted for construction in FY24. This Request for Proposals does not commit the City of Gladstone to award a contract, to pay for any costs incurred in the preparation of the proposal, or to procure of contract the services of supplies. The City reserves the right to accept or reject and or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with any qualified source, or to cancel, in part or in its entirety, the Request for Proposals if it is in their best interest The method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
