Description

**As of May 11, 2023, project was awarded to D. L .Smith, but awarded amount is not available** The City of Norwalk will not accept any/or consider any bid as an official bid unless said bidder has picked up and paid for a complete bid package from Richland Engineering Limited, A WallacePancher Group. In order to bid this project you must be a plan holder of record with The City of Norwalk. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said Surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity and be prequalified with the Ohio Department of Transportation. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. "DOMESTIC STEEL USE REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 153.011 OF THE REVISED CODE APPLY TO THIS PROJECT. COPIES OF SECTION 153.011 OF THE REVISED CODE CAN BE OBTAINED FROM ANY OF THE OFFICES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES." No pre-bid meeting is planned for the project. It is advised that all bidders visit the project site. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage scale for all Federal-Aid Projects as determined by the United States Secretary of Labor. The DBE Goal for this project is 7% The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities. Contract will be awarded based on the lowest and best bid. The City of Norwalk may reject any or all bids on any basis and without disclosure of reason. The failure to make such disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim or cause of action by any unsuccessful bidder against the City of Norwalk.
