Description | The NEC Building's existing automated HVAC building control systems are no longer reliable. The 1990's pneumatic system has become difficult to maintain and integrate with new mechanic system repair parts. Temperature and humidity, which is critical for museum artifacts and animals, cannot be properly maintained. The project scope is to replace the Museum's old pneumatic control system with a new BackNet based data network with new equipment controllers and system control software. The new controls should provide for better system performance and energy efficiencies as the system can be throttled based on CO2 level and occupancy periods |
