Description | The proposed project is a state of the art 200,000 GSF facility. The proposed building is envisioned to be a multi-level facility with an elegant presence and which will serve as a destination for university and community patrons. Building massing and composition will utilize site topography. Exterior design will encompass a skillful blend of brick masonry, stone, metal and glass to create a facility that is visually appealing and efficient to operate. This facility will provide appropriate indoor space to meet its current and future assembly/event needs. In addition to a large multi-purpose arena with a seating capacity of 8,000, the facility will celebrate its flexibility by hosting athletic events, convocations, commencements, conferences, concerts and other major events on a scale reflective of the University's national and international stature in learning and research. The building will feature divisible meeting and conference spaces with state of the art technology, lighting, acoustics and building control systems. |
