Description | (2) New Modular Classrooms 36’x 24’, including set up, that meet or exceed the requirements of the current addition (with amendments) of the NC State Building Code for educational occupancy; Construction shall comply with applicable plumbing, mechanical, and electrical codes, and other legal requirements. Shop drawings for each unit must bear the Approval Stamp from a third-party certification agency approved by the NC Department of Insurance. Manufacturers must be approved for commercial construction by the DOI’s Manufactured Building Section. All shop drawings subject to local code administrators reviews and approvals. 1. Modular Delivery Expectation on or about January 31, 2022 2. Modular Set Up and Completion, including Brunswick County Schools responsibilities for Electrical ,Plumbing, Low Voltage Wiring, Expectation on or about February 28, 2022. 3. Include Building Permit for installing Modular Units (Brunswick County Code Administration will require 2 separate permits, one for each unit), Brunswick County Schools will be responsible for Electrical Permit, Plumbing Permit, Fire Permit, and Low Voltage Permit. Vendor/Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing NCPE sealed Foundation and Ramp Drawings. 1. Units to be Mirrored 2. Remove axle and tongue, store tongue underneath 3. Foundations to include footings, piers, anchoring system to meet 150 MPH wind speed requirements along with meeting all State, and Local Codes and in accordance with any plans, specifications, and engineered drawings and design criteria. 1. Units to be Underpinned 2. Units to have (2) entrance/exit doors 3. 1 Entrance/Exit door at each unit to have a 5’x 5’ platform with steps to ground 4. 1 Entrance/Exit door at each unit will lead out on to 10’ x 17’ deck, built or supplied by successful bidder in accordance with all State and Local Codes, or plans, specifications, and engineered drawings and design criteria, that ties into existing deck and ramp of existing modular units 1. Units to have ADA compliant restroom 2. Units to have a 6’x 3’-6” storage closet 3. Units to have hot water heater appropriately sized 4. Roof Construction: The roof system shall consist of the manufacturer’s standard modular membrane roof construction. The roof system design shall be sealed by a NC PE engineer. Roof overhangs: 6” on eave ends (Mansard Type) 5. Exterior Siding and Trim: Exterior siding: Hi-ribbed steel; Skirting: Vinyl, Include a 24” High x 24” Wide access panel for crawlspace access. Provide 6” X 6” pre-finished aluminum gutters with evenly spaced 4” x 4” downspouts. Downspouts to discharge to concrete splash blocks. Gutters to be fabricated from 24 Ga metal, with color to be selected from manufacturer’s stand color palette for powder coated metal |
