Obstruction Removal - Runways 15 and 33

The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: Clearing of 12.0 acres of land, clearing and grubbing of 3.1 acres of land, removal of 91 isolated trees, topping and trimming of 2 trees and 18 acres of turfing and mulching. Bidders shall have an MDOT Pre-qualification of 482 Ea or equal as defined in Section 20- 02 of the General Contract Provisions. Including all necessary appurtenances and restoration. The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for by funds received from Federal Aviation Administration, Michigan Department of Transportation Office of Aeronautics, and the Frankfort City County Airport Authority. A bid bond, certified check, or cashiers check payable to Frankfort City County Airport Authority in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days after the receipt of bids. The project shall be completed within forty-nine (49) days from date of Notice to Proceed. A stop order will be issued once clearing and tree removals are completed and stumps have been ground. A start order will be issued in May of 2023 to complete restoration.
