Description

J1456F a. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment necessary for, and incidental to, construction of this project as indicated on Drawings and specified herein. b. Work shall include everything requisite and necessary to finish work properly, notwithstanding that every item of labor or materials or accessories required to make project complete may not be specifically mentioned. General Description of Work: (1) Project consists of installation of new Highway 63 pedestrian underpass, various utility relocations, and construction of a new pedestrian promenade from the Havener Center to Tim Bradley Way. (2) Demolition shall consist of removal or relocation of all existing improvements in conflict with construction. Existing utilities or improvements required to remain in place are noted in the drawings. (3) Architectural/Civil work shall consist of construction of the new concrete promenade including architectural seal walls, decorative columns, and perforated metal panel mural within the underpass. The promenade scope includes utility relocations, a combination of plain and sandblast finished concrete, and architectural seat walls along the promenade perimeter. Civil work also includes an expansion of Parking Lot H. Civil work also includes restoration of disturbed and surrounding areas with sod, mulch beds, landscape plantings, and irrigation systems. (4) Structural work shall consist of multiple site walls including segmental block walls, mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls, and concrete retaining walls. The project also includes excavation and installation of a pre-cast arch underpass structure under Highway 63. (5) Mechanical work shall consist of removal and replacement of existing chilled water, soft water, and fiber communications utilities. (6) Electrical work shall consist of removal and replacement of existing medium voltage electrical utility and installation of new pedestrian lighting, roadway lighting, snow melt systems and associated controls. (7) Transportation work shall consist of reconstruction of a portion of Highway 63 including lane transitions, asphalt and concrete pavement sections, new storm sewer, concrete sidewalk, and vehicular and pedestrian barriers.
