Install Loading Dock

A. Provide loading dock platform, complete-in-place, for the new BSC in F244. As part of the bid package the Contractor must submit construction drawings of the proposed work. The drawings should be compliant with AFI 91-203 and OSHA 1910.178(n)(11 ), Additional details are described below: a. Fabricate new loading dock metal platform with the following specifications: i. Dimensions and capacity: 1. Capacity: 15,000 lb. for 5,000 lb. capacity forklift loading 2. Deck length: 16 feet 3. Deck width: 12 feet 4. Ramp dimensions: 8 feet service width x 30 feet length ii. Minimum features: 1. Fixed stationary installation 2. Legs shall have the capability of being adjusted to accommodate grade variations 3. Dock height to be set at 48-inches standard 4. Provide manufacturer's structural warranty iii. Deliver loading dock platform to Vance AFB and install, complete-inplace. iv. Anchor loading dock to footings and to existing concrete platform B. Site work: Existing site consists of gravel covered ground. Refer to Figure 2 - Existing Site Utilities a. Prepare site for new concrete pad or footing. Work includes clearing and grading area as needed to provide a leveled surface. b. Construct concrete pad, or footings, with adequate dimensions and capacity necessary to support new loading dock (15,000 lb. capacity). Refer to Appendix A - Section 03300 Cast-in-Place Concrete. Contractor to verify utility locations prior to breaking ground. Refer to Section 1.02.H shown below; and Figure 2 - Existing Site Utilities. c. Clean site to preconstruction conditions or better.
